    • I’m sure you already know about Ivars site caminodesantiago.me. It’s probably the number one site for questions and everything Camino. I faithfully read it every night until I read Bill Bennet’s accounting of his first 10 days. Going to miss him while he takes a four month break. Wish I were going with them in April.

      • Yes, I would also have loved to do the tour with Bill but decided I wanted to walk on my own the first time. I will miss Bill’s blog…he is amazing!

      • As you know, while I was on the Camino, we had problems with the Chromebook we took and spotty internet at times. I didn’t read many of his posts while we were gone. I’ve been working 12 hours a day since we’ve come home trying to catch up on lost wages while gone as I’m self employed. I still have about 30 posts to catch up on and am only halfway thru his book. Looking forward to his movie too. Wish the group were all closer so we could get together. Don’t know you’re situation but if you have the time I would suggest staying at Orisson instead of going all the way to Roncevalles the first day. It is mountains you’ll be going thru and stopping at Orrisson is great. The food is very good. We stayed at L’Espirit de Chemin in Saint Jean and the food was extremely good. If you stay there be sure to get the lunch to go the next day. It was also very good. How many days do you have? Lynda

      • Part Two I have one eye on watching the Seahawks wipe out The Saints and one eye on my work but plan on uploading another fifty pics tonight. Lynda

  1. Yes, I plan on staying in Orisson. I truly am enjoying your pictures….they are really good and I am taking notes from your blog and pictures. Going to allow 45-50 days. I am walking with two friends and our husbands will met us in Santiago. We will then travel to Portugal.

    • Ohhh I want to come! Do you have 45-50 altogether or just for Camino? We took 43 days to walk but did have a couple bus rides and a taxi when Dale got hurt and then when I had diarrhea. Knowing what I know now I think I would have pushed a little harder on some days. I was the SLOWEST person on the Camino. 90 year old ladies passed me. If you have questions on items to take or not to take I’d be happy to throw in an opinion.
