Originally built in 1126. Provided care for sufferer's of Saint Anthony"s Fire, a skin disease similar to leprosy. As with leprosy these sufferer's were shunned. Unknown at the time, thedisease was caused by eating bread made from moldy barley. Cure: Stop eating bread with moldy barley!

Spent two nights in Castrojeriz. This is where I came down with diarrhea. This is Tippi from South Africa. We run into her much later and find out she came down with the diarrhea the next night.
